About

My 10th grade English teacher told me not to pursue becoming a teacher if I wanted to help people. She said, "you may never know whether or not you've had an affect and that's an unfair pressure to place upon your students. Teach if you love what you teach. Your passion and enthusiasm will carry you and free them. "

I am guided by what I love and share from that source.

Over the past decade I have taught and studied yoga all over the world. My robust teaching experience and passion around the subject continue to motivate my growth in this practice.

Experience

In May 2016 I became Yogawood's Director. I assisted in transitioning the studio between owners. Since January 2017 I've worked with the studio's owner to strengthen the studio's financial life and sustainability. I retooled the training programs, brought in acclaimed faculty, and designed learning materials to reopen our vinyasa yoga training and advanced teacher training programs to great success.

I've been leading international and domestic retreats since 2014. In addition to the 9 retreats that I personally lead, I've designed an additional 3 for other yoga teachers. I've brought yoga retreats to Vietnam, Belize, St Lucia, Guatemala, and Portugal as well as Vermont and the New Jersey shore.

Some of these retreats were in partnership with writer Caits Meissner. Our retreat content connected yoga myths with creative writing. I've lead workshops with similar content at my home studio and other yoga studios nationwide.
