Private Yoga

at home, in studio, at your workplace

I teach yoga in several workplaces before the work day begins, during lunch, and right as the day concludes. I've also taught several employee appreciation wellness days. Whether you want a one-time yoga or meditation practice, or to create something weekly for you and your colleagues, contact me!

I have a lot of experience working with private clients in studios and at their homes. This works well for students with demanding schedules or individualized health needs. I am not currently accepting new private clients due to being overbooked. That could change! If you want to be notified when I begin scheduling private clients, contact me!

Private clients who are interested in integrative yoga and myofascial body work sessions should look into The Movement program I offer with Krista Sassani !

Workshops & Trainings

These workshops are usually broken into four, 3-hour long sessions each with an individual focus. The workshops can be run consecutively or students can take any sessions independent of the others.

I begin with adjusting "in the flow" of flows like Surya Namaskar A, B, and variations. The second session is devoted to standing and balance poses. In the third, we explore assisting students in backbends. In the fourth, we learn to support students in inversions, twists, and folds.

I believe in consent-based touch and always honoring the student.

I have offered workshops at writing conferences, college campuses, studios, and retreats that use yoga to plumb our own innate creativity. These workshops are a mix of breath, movement, partner work, meditation, writing prompts, editing, and feedback.

I focus these workshops in a variety of ways. Yogic movement and myth can be a great prompt for writing. Yoga teachers often take my Story Telling for Yoga Teachers workshops to expand their voice.

In 2013 I began assisting in 200 hour vinyasa yoga teacher training programs at Yogawood and teaching modules of training at Dana Hot Yoga and the Studio for Yoga in Medford.

In 2014 I became a lead trainer at Yogawood and have worked in all training programs since.

Upcoming Workshops

Monserate Gonzalez

yoga student

In more than seven years of practicing, I’ve been fortunate enough to connect with a few incredible teachers that have mastered the delicate balance of challenging me, cherishing me, and connecting me to what I came to yoga for. Maiga is one of those teachers, and her unique style is as light and sweet as it is deep and transformative. Her adjustments stand out as being exceptionally therapeutic and encouraging. The next time I’m in the area and awake at 6AM, you’ll know where to find me.

I wanted to say thank you for running those assisting workshops in October! I have noticed my comfort level with assisting has really gone up!

After attending Maiga’s open classes, I scheduled private sessions to create accountability and consistency in my practice. Maiga’s instruction provided me with detailed understanding on how to create a self-led practice, protect my knee after a diagnosis of arthritis, find modifications, & depth in yoga. I was especially impressed that Maiga could modify a class ‘on the fly’ to accommodate how my mind or body was feeling on any giving day. Her flexibility was important to me and it demonstrated a depth in understanding for yoga and teaching.
